Beginner Wheel Throwing Workshop — Make Your Own Ramen Bowl!
Ready to try the pottery wheel? In this two-day beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll learn the full process of creating a handmade ramen bowl from start to finish.
Day 1:
You’ll dive into the fundamentals of wheel throwing—centering, pulling walls, and shaping your bowl form. With step-by-step guidance, you’ll create your very own ramen bowl on the wheel!
Day 2:
Once your bowl dries a bit overnight, you’ll return for trimming and refining. This is where you’ll perfect the foot, smooth surfaces, and finalize the shape so your bowl feels balanced, clean, and functional.
After the workshop, your piece will be glazed and fired by the studio.
A self-glaze add-on is recommended if you want to return and glaze your bowl yourself. Otherwise, you’ll choose from our five in-house studio glazes and we’ll glaze it for you.
No experience needed—just bring your creativity and be ready to get your hands muddy!
